~Islam in One Word~

Assalamu allaicum wa raahmatullah wa baarakatuhu my dear brothers and sisters In Islam

Bismililah Al Rahman Al Raheem

I know that beauty of our deen Islam can not be described in one word, not even in many words mashallah, but one word for Islam can be enough to cover many parts which are enough proofs that Islam is the only right religion Mashallah and described its beauty. :hijabi:

Please dear brothers and sisters share your feelings for Islam in one word, and expand it with ayahs from Quran, authentic Hadeeths, words of Sahabahs r.a., stories about Prophets, or with words of authentic Schoolars of Islaam.

For me, Islam is SABUR-~PATEINCE

Allah subhan wa teala mentions many times in Quran the importance of Sabur for Muslims, and relying only on Him in every difficulty and trial, and Allah also promisse the great reword for the one who remains patience when he be tested by some difficulty in his life.

The reason why patience is aslo very importante part of Islam and part of beautiful character of one Muslim is that patinece is helping us to remain steadfast in our deen,to fufill our duties toward Allah, to keep our modesty and to not do things which Allah has forbidden. Been patinece is helping aslo to be pleased with qadr of Allah and pleased with what Allah has given us.

Allah subhan wa teala sais in Quran:

"And certainly, We shall test you with something of fear, hunger, loss of wealth, lives and fruits, but give glad tidings to As-Sabirun (the patient)". - (Surah Baqarah, ayah 155)"

Abu Hurairah (May Allah be pleased with him) reported: The Messenger of Allah sallahu alayha wa saalam said, "Allah, the Exalted, says: 'I have no reward other than Jannah for a believing slave of Mine who remains patient for My sake when I take away his beloved one from among the inhabitants of the world".( Al Bukhari)

Allahs Prophet Ayub a.s is great example of patience. The Prophet Ayub (peace be upon him) was a prosperous man with firm faith in Allah. He possessed vast farms, enormous wealth, many cattle and valuable property but these things did not make him arrogant. The Prophet Ayub (peace be upon him) was a pattern of humility and faith in Allah. He was very patient. He suffered from a number of calamities but did not utter a single word of complaint.

After a few years Prophet Ayub (peace be upon him) suffered from skin disease. His parts of body were covered with loathsome sores. He had many ugly looking ulcers on his face and hands. The sores were full of worms. It is narrated that he picked up those worms which fell from his abscess and praised Allah for creating them.

When Prophet Ayub (peace be upon him) was in an extremely pathetic condition he prayed:

"Truly adversity has afflicted me and You are Most Merciful of all who show mercy." (Surah 21: Verse 83)

The Prophet Ayub (peace be upon him) was one of the celebrated Prophets. His example illustrates: that those who remain patient under the stress of all circumstances, are never deprived of high rewards.

May Allah help us to always keep sabur, beatify our ahlaq, and make us of those who are sabirun.Ameen ya Rabby

Wa'alaikumussalam Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh sister

MashAllah!! Its wonderful and this thread is great too.

However, due to lack of time, I may not be able to elaborate my One Word further. Yet, inshaAllah I hope I am making a contribution.

Islam is Truth.

Allah says in Quran, "And say: “The Truth has arrived, and Falsehood perished: for Falsehood is (by its nature) bound to perish.” We send down (stage by stage) in the Quran that which is a healing and a mercy to those who believe: to the unjust it causes nothing but loss after loss." (Surah Al Isra’ 17:81-82)

Wassalam 'Alaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakatuh :)
