Islam Vs Terrorism !

MUSLiiM PRiiNCESS
As-Salamu Alaykum,

In the name of Allah, the most gracious, the most merciful.

This topic has many views which lye against it ... one of which has now defamed the religion (Islam)
This issue not only infuriates Muslims but also questions their religion.

There are many ways to go about with this topic but the most simplest would be to compare the word terrorism and the teachings of Islam

Let's start with what the word terrorism actually means.

Terrorism is unlawful use or threat of violence. It is used against people or property to further political or social objectives. The result is to intimidate a government and individuals or groups to modify their behavior or politics.

Now, The Arabic word 'Islam' means submission and obedience, and derives from a word meaning 'peace'.

How can the two words be similar, they both teach and thrive to do the absolute different to one another.

The main questions that are stuck in the back of the head of the non- Muslims are mainly:

. Why does Islam teach violence?
. What Islam teaches about Jihad?
. How is Islam 'peaceful' if it associates with violence?

Well to be honest, it's quite simple. Satan (Shataan) is present with every person that has lived or is living on earth. We're not perfect, we do so many sins. That doesn't only apply to Muslims it applies to non- Muslims as well. But the funny thing is that when Muslim's do something bad, everyone runs to criticise them and label us.This comes to show that labelling and pinpointing people does not result in a positive way, as you can see some Muslims do get offended and react to the situation just like any other normal human would.

If you were to insult someone on what they have been brought up with all their life, how would you expect them to react? ...

The way an individual acts only reflects them, not what their religion is ...

Now let's look at the Holy book (Quran)

The entire Quran, taken as a complete text, gives a message of hope, faith, and peace to a faith community of one billion people. The overwhelming message is that peace is to be found through faith in God, and justice among fellow human beings.

Goodness and evil are not equal.
Repel evil with what is better.
Then that person with whom there was hatred,
may become your intimate friend!
And no one will be granted such goodness
except those who exercise patience and self-restraint,
none but people of the greatest good fortune.
Quran 41:34-35

If anyone slays a person
- unless it be for murder or for spreading mischief in the land -
it would be as if he slew all people.
And if anyone saves a life,
it would be as if he saved the life of all people.
Quran 5:32

The recompense for an injury
is an injury equal thereto (in degree),
but if a person forgives and makes reconciliation,
his reward is due from God,
for God loves not those who do wrong.
But indeed, if any do help and defend themselves
after a wrong done to them,
against such there is no cause of blame.
The blame is only against those who oppress men
with wrongdoing and insolently transgress
beyond bounds through the land,
defying right and justice.
For such there will be a penalty grievous (in the Hereafter).
But indeed, if any show patience and forgive,
that would truly be an affair of great resolution.
Quran 42:40-43

Another aspect that I would like to high light is what the media presents and how they come about in relation to this topic.

On the television we always see the negative sides to what the Muslims do, where as in reality there are many realistic reasons to it. knowing this, I know how hard it would be to think good of Muslims and to respond to them in a calm way. But by judging them you're stereotyping them and prejudging them!

I can stereotype you to be judgemental or to be prejudice ...

Just remember don't judge a book by it's cover ... and if you point your finger at others, there are 3 fingers pointing back at you.

May Allah help and guide us all .. Ameen
