Poetry and Prayer: Islamic Manuscripts from the Walters Art Museum (March 20 - June 13, 2010) showcases masterpieces of illuminated and illustrated manuscripts produced in Islamic lands from the ninth to the nineteenth century C.E.

The exhibition coincides with the initiative to catalogue and make high-resolution digital copies of all Islamic manuscripts and single pages preserved at the Walters Art Museum.

There are many interesting things to see; for example, under the rubric Digital Books there are 18 manuscripts in high resolution which can be viewed by turning the pages.
