Waalaikumsalam ...
I know this guy 'Dr. Achmad Mubarok.' are writing a number of book in Islamic psychology perspective, he give plenty source from Al-Quran too but most of his book in Indonesian language (malay). But he write a few article in English at his blog. You can alway ask him at his blog '

As salamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wabrakatuhu

He talks about Buddhism and takes examples from it. Alhamdulillah Islam is complete and perfect. We Muslims do not need spiritual guidance from the mushriks. I hope brother bobkidi would remove the site.

I have his book 'Sunatullah dalam jiwa manusia"(God sign[Fitrah] within human soul) in my hand but I didn't see any part from that book using hinduism methodology as reference but only AL-Quran and hadith ... I'm blind about your claim but Al Ghazali is well known scholar, better go for that

Scholars do not advise the free reading of Al Gazzali's books for everyone, he went through several stages in his life before coming back to the path of pious predecessors,(I'm referring to Abu hamid Al Gazzali who lived round 500H)..
And no doubt he was a great scholar,:) may bless his soul & grant him JANNAH..
Ibn Qiyyum is your man here like the brother said he is the doctor of the hearts..
