:salam2:

I sometimes see on forums or in other places some Muslims say Jesus Christ. Isn't that like calling Jesus (pbuh) God? Or does it mean something else? Any explanation would be great, i've always wondered. Thanks :)

Christ is a title. in arabic Mesih = pure, sinless.

Christ is derived from greek Xristos or Christos.

Insha'Allah is not a problem. Allaahu alem.

I have no idea if that's considered as right or wrong but if I have to say Jesus instead of Isa than that's all I say as well as alayh asalaam. Saying Christ is a bit much in my opinion, and is a Christian thing.

as doris said christ just means annointed. and as doris said christ can be translated into arabic as mesih. in hebrew his name would have been moshiyah
