:salam2: my brothers and sisters in Islaam,
Moonah, listen I hope you can get one thing a bit clarified insha'Allah ok? I probably wont be around to say it often, so I'll just ask this of you now. Before you rush to type a reply to me, pause ok? Just pause and think for a moment. What is it really you wish to get out of this forum?
Do you believe it's like any other forum? What's the point of you cross-examining one forum with another, and trying to see which can attack/refute which? We do not wish for TTI to become such a place you see. We wish that we will grow together in knowledge, but not for that we have to sacrifice our time and efforts replying to one who will just reply comparing us to "this forum said this" or "that forum was like this".... we do not need to know really. When you joined TTI, and you became a member, you joined our community, and thus we ask you act like it! Most of us want to help you, but only if you can help yourself first.
Ask yourself what you are really seeking by all these forums you visit? A good time? A chance to suck in to what all religions say and then find out which one suits your personal desires best? Is that what religion is? Is that what faith is? Or is it to allow yourself to open the keys inside you and look for the truth wherever it may be, and once you dedicate yourself to searching for it, you ask but dont reproach. You question but dont retaliate. Take the time to soak things in before you press the ever familiar "Reply" button.
That's all I have to say. Call it cheesy or what not, but I really think sometimes we all get so wrapped up into ourselves, we dont stop to actualize our actions. And at times this can be the most vital aspect of our humanity.
I have seen some catholics debate this issue:
Was the mother of Jesus Sinless? I dont think anyone on early is/was sinless but for some reason they think/debate she was.
Another thing they say was that she remained a virgin all her life. I find this idea far fetched as she was married to a man. And possibly had more children.
What do you think?
You have seen catholics debate on this issue, thus do you wish the Muslim take or do you wish for us to debate as well? Please, I dont say these to offend, but to get you to ask yourself as well what you seek out of all this.

Because if you reply in the manner rejecting what I say, then what was the purpose of asking. Islaam will never be about what "I think" but what is and was and always will be, regardless.

If I wanted the sky to be purple for me, I dont think it'd oblige.
As such, Maryam alayhis salaam was one of the best women of the world. I greatly admire her so much subhan'Allah. If anyone else lowers her one inch below her mark, I think it's disgraceful and a sham to oneself.
We believe in the Qur'aan Allah has said (translated):
"And (remember) when the angels said: "O Maryam (Mary)! Verily, Allâh has chosen you, purified you (from polytheism and disbelief), and chosen you above the women of the 'Alamîn (mankind and jinns) (of her lifetime)." (Al-'Imran 3:42-43)
And in the Sayings of the Prophet
Hadith - Sahih Bukhari 4.643, Narrated Abu Musa Al Ashari
The Prophet said, "The superiority of 'Aisha to other ladies is like the superiority of Tharid (i.e. meat and bread dish) to other meals. Many men reached the level of perfection, but no woman reached such a level except Mary, the daughter of Imran and Asia, the wife of Pharaoh."
She was the most amazing of women, devoted in the worship of Allah, chaste, god-fearing, obedient, trusting in Allah in every situation. She was born of a good family, in which her mother sought protection from the devil not to touch Maryam alayhas salaam, and dedicated her in the way of Allah.
The Noble Qur'an Al-'Imran 3:35-37
35. (Remember) when the wife of 'Imrân said: "O my Lord! I have vowed to You what (the child that) is in my womb to be dedicated for Your services (free from all worldly work; to serve Your Place of worship), so accept this, from me. Verily, You are the All-Hearer, the All-Knowing."
36. Then when she delivered her [child Maryam (Mary)], she said: "O my Lord! I have delivered a female child," - and Allâh knew better what she delivered, - "And the male is not like the female, and I have named her Maryam (Mary), and I seek refuge with You (Allâh) for her and for her offspring from Shaitan (Satan), the outcast."
And still, we believe she was human. So as such if she had faults, then perhaps she had them as any human does, but this does not lower her rank any degree, as we ourselves cannot comparatively put our mistakes of any rank like that. Allah knows best in these affairs, and I have no purpose of questioning about the sinfulness of another, before I look to my own.
In Islaam, we positively believe that Maryam was a virgin, and she was never married at all. From when she was young, as shown above she was dedicated to the worship of Allah, and thus she never married. And also we believe that her birth of Isa alayhis salaam was in a virgin state, as stated in the Qur'aan:
"And Mary, the daughter of 'Imran who guarded her chastity; and We breathed into (the sleeve of her shirt or her garment) through Our Spirit [i.e. Gabriel], and she testified to the truth of the Words of her Lord [i.e. believed in the Words of Allah: "Be!" and he was; that is Jesus *! son of Mary; as a Messenger of Allah], and (also believed in) His Scriptures, and she was of the Qanitin (i.e. obedient to Allah)." (At-Tahrim : 12)
Among other sources....
With all due respect, I HAVE read that part in the quran and dont need the music, pretty pictures, and "special effects" to prove a point from anyone.
What was that supposed to prove that the quran would not?
How can one give due respect then contradict our beliefs and degrade them?? This is not respect, this is lack of understanding. The Qur'aan, you must understand is not "music" "pretty pictures" and "special effects" ... Subhan'Allah... we believe they are the words of Allah, we recite them to educate ourselves, to get guidance, to remember Him and what He says to us. The Qur'aan is our guide book, and its reciatition is so beautiful, that it should strike a person no matter what religion, and if it seems just as Music to you, know that in 1400 years, this is one thing nobody has been able to imitate. It's not created, and it's not for you or anyone else to put down of they come with "due respect" and that's me being forthright with you as I cannot stand by and let it pass without.
Know also, you have not read the Qur'aan unless it is in Arabic. Know that whatever you read was a translation liable to mistakes. Know that what you called "music" is the real Qur'aan in its unchanged form, and that as a questioner, this is not the right attitude.
The last question posed - the video IS the Qur'aan.
I'm sorry for any offence I have caused by my words, I do not intend harm, but I dislike to see confusion in people when I cant see what they are trying to drive at. Regardless, May Allah guide you and all of us as well
