Judas Insertion in place of Jesus - How did this come about?

Reading the Noble Quran, Allah says "shubbiha lahum" (it was made to appear to them so)... Yet, we hear from different accounts about Judas being inserted in place of Jesus (pbu) on the cross. My question is: where did this idea come from??? Obviously not from the Quran... not from the bible I don't think.

Reading Ahamd Deedat's writings on the subject, he never mentions this fact. But, I'm also reading "What did Jesus Really Say" by Mishal Bin Abdallah and he mentions it in his book. How did it come about and how accurate is this piece of data??

According 2 the Bible Judas commited suicide by hanging himself.

Matthew 27:3-7
Judas had betrayed Jesus, but when he learned that Jesus had been sentenced to death, he was sorry for what he had done. He returned the thirty silver coins to the chief priests and leaders (4)and said, "I have sinned by betraying a man who has never done anything wrong."

"So what? That's your problem," they replied. (5)Judas threw the money into the temple and then went out and hanged himself.

(6)The chief priests picked up the money and said, "This money was paid to have a man killed. We can't put it in the temple treasury." (7)Then they had a meeting and decided to buy a field that belonged to someone who made clay pots. They wanted to use it as a graveyard for foreigners.

I dont know but from where did the idea the it was Judas who was crucified instead of Jesus came from?

The thing with Judas being crucified instead of jesus(by whom be peace) is a fabricated legend... Its balonni...Nothing in the Qur'an is said about Judas. It could have happened or it could be just a lie.

There are many made-up stories Muslims have made to interperet what happened to Jesus(by whom be peace). Most of these stories are no more then legends... It could have happened ...or it could not. Muslims who invent stories like this with no authority from the Holy Qur'an or respectable Hadith should never do such a thing because it is a major sin to LIE without exact Knowledge. It is a major sin to invent stories with no authority from The Holy Qur'an, The Final Scripture.


These things could have happened................
Or they could have not.

Unless you have evidence from the Holy Qur'an or authentic hadith don't take authority for what you hear.
