those form Pentecostal/Charismatic Movements..
Right now Im horribly disgusted by how some churches esp from the Charismatic Movements have come to the point where they try to evangelise their religion to consumerise and capitalise their religion. This has caught my attention esp since I heard the news from a fellow ex classmate that he converted to Christianity.Apparently hes not the only one.Since i live in a secular state i dont find its not surprising that some of these Muslims are just Muslims by name but I find it extremely shocking to know when asked about why they convert they can be very direct as to say "they can have more freedom unlike Islam"
Adding to that theres an increasing evangelism of church cults esp from the Pentecostal/Charismatic churches in its aggressive nature has caught me on alarming rate recently .Thier evangelism is the usual sugarcoated like "Jesus loves you and all u have to do is accept him because he made the supreme sacrifice to die for ur sins so u can go to heaven and meet him" etc etc
These megachurch cults (or i shld say Disney churches) opened with an extensive rock concert, aka Praise and Worship. This was very smart, for a variety of reasons. By offering musical entertainment in the form of prayer (or prayer in the form of musical entertainment), it caught and focused the audience's attention, especially the younger crowd, by situating religious worship in the context of popular culture, entertainment and coolness.
I just pray that Allah will guide us to the right path.Anybody who used to be in the Pentecostal/Charismatic movements share my sentiments?
