If someone is not a Muslim( by name) but believes in Allah, muhamed SalaAllahu Alehi Wasalaam as a massenger and Isa Alahis salam as a prophet of Allah. She did not say the shahada yet can she be called Muslim? if she dies will she be considered a believer? I really would like to know bothers and sisters. jazaka Allah khairan for your replies

If she believes these beautiful statements, then what is stopping her? I know these are life changing words, but if her heart is then why not? There is not compulsion in religion so I will make duaa she follows this beautiful way of life.

Sorry for replying soo late,
What is stopping her? well, her family she is still dependent on her family and when her father understood she was learning about Islam( vids and islamic websites including tti) he told her that IF she becomes a MUSLIM she will have 2 leave the house, she does NOT have a job nor does she know where 2 go IF her dad KICKS her out so, that is what is stopping her MashaAllah she considers HERSELF Muslim but SHE JUST can't practice ( MAY Allah make things easy on her Ameen) But, she said she will indeed CONVERT when she GOES to college so, hopefully we will have her with us SOON!

She can say the shahadah to herself...Allah (swt) being her witness...she can pray with her eyes without making the moves..and when it comes to fasting..she can hang out of the house with the excuse of school or something..until she breaks her fast..then she goes home and "eats dinner"...she can read the qura'an on the net..without bookmarking a webpage (in case her parents are checking behind her)...and when it comes to islamic books..online lectures and the like..she can go to the public library..see if they have a computer lab and use it for online material..and look through their books for islamic information of sound background and credibility...read them..and put them back without checking them out so her parents don't see them with her..

I know it seems like she'll be lying..but that's for her own good and the prophet (pbuh) said "no harm, and no harming" (meaning: you should not commit or enjoin harm onto yourself or onto others..and neither bring it or cause it onto yourself or onto others)...

I thought I'd give out some suggestions...she *should* at LEAST make the shahadah to herself for now..because nobody knows when their hour is..so she should meet her lord a *declared Muslim*...and since you say she will leave for college..the whole thing will be a *temporary phase* which requires just a bit of patience..and inshallah it will be over before she even realizes it

Just remind her and encourage her to make the shahadah asap

even if fear of any kind is stoping her from declaring her shahada, she would still go to jannah as long as she really believes in the oneness of Allah and Muhammad as the final messenger of Allah. InshAllah. advise her to read quran as much as she can because that would strengthen her iman and help her develope a strong connection with Allah. i think the word of God has so much power in it that it would relieve her of all the fears. inshAllah.
