I was just wondering if any of you could tell me when we have to make sujood when reciting the quran. When the ayat tells you to or when you just come across the word "Sujood", or "Sajdah"? And there are some ayat's in the quran the tells you at that time to make sujood. For example, in surah Najm, the last ayat uts like, "62. So fall you down in prostration to Allh, and worship Him (Alone). " Do you have to make sujood at that time when an ayat liek that comes? and, can you do it without wadu, because its hard to go amke wadu for just to prostrate. can someone explain, thn*!*!*! i luv u alll!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

You do not have to make wudu'u to be able to do *sajdat attilaawa* (prostration of recital)..you do not have to face the Qibla when you make it..and a menstruating woman is allowed to make it as well..because this sajda does not have the character of *salat*..however..if you *can* make wudu'u..and *can* face the Qibla..then that is even better for you..it is like going *the extra step* :)

and Allah Knows best!

The link above will give you clear evidence of the information I gave you in addition to a few more details...and like I said..if you *can* make wudu'u then you should because it is *better* than prostrating without it..though you're allowed to make prostration *regardless* of your tahara...and you don't have to make wudu'u *every time* you hear a verse of sujood..you can perform wudu'u once and it will be good inshallah :)

P.S. just for your knowledge..if a verse of sujood repeats..you earn ajer..for *every single* sajdah you make..so don't let the opportunity pass..take advantage of it :)
