We get very hard on ourselves sometimes. And while there is benefit in taking ourselves to account, the sunshine comes from never losing hope in Allah's mercy. Allah's mercy and forgiveness is able to emcompass whatever you have done. So knock on that door right now.

Assalamualaikum Warahmatullahi Wabarakaatu,

Exactly. It is never too late to seek Allah's forgiveness or ask for His Mercy and Blessings. And indeed Allah does grant our duas when we ask and He does forgive when ask for forgiveness. After all He is Most Forgiving and Most Merciful.

So even when you think that there is no way out or that you have lost hope in a particular matter, then we should remember: Laa Taqnatum Mir Rahmatillah.
