Salam,
What's the nicest thing a stranger has ever done for you?

Yesterday, I was shopping and picked up some bubblegum. Then a random guy just came up to me and told me they were not halal. I know its a small thing, but it really was appreciated. He was under no obligation to tell me.

It got me thinking. Its quite dificult to be kind to strangers. In todays society, especially in the west, the emphasis is on individualism, and self-reliance.

What the nicest thing anyones done for you guys:SMILY288:?

Strangers coming to know they are brothers

As salamu alaikum wa rahmatullahi wabrakatuhu

I was standing near our Dean's office day before yesterday. Few minutes later some guys came and greeted us. Later I came to know that they are my brothers in faith. I am in my 4th year and they are in their 3rd's. Still we did not meet or know each other. Thats just the will of Allah Subhanahu wa Taala. I felt good after meeting some new Muslim brothers. They are from Turkey.

We were strangers, later we came to know we are brothers in Islam. :mashallah:

Salam Alkum Brothers and Sisters

Well one time I was on the sidewalk reading and walking at the same time. I know that can be a little dangerous, anyways I looked up and it said I can walk so then i started to read again, then all of a sudden some guy pulled my hand and a car drove so fast in front of me. It can have hit if that stranger didnt pull my hand. I looked at that guy and it was a stranger. I thanked him and kept on walking. I closed up my book and thought about what he did. Subhan watal allah is big.
Jzkar allah,
Sister

Assalamu alaikom wa rahmutallahi wabarakatuhu,

Now that I wear hijab and can easily be identified as a Muslim in Florida, USA, I can compare "before and after hijab" treatment. I find although some older people stare in a disapproving manner, most younger adults are extra-respectful/polite now that I wear hijab. However, some kind treatment from a stranger lately was that an old woman at the local supermarket who was in front of me at the check-out, turned and looked at me a couple of times.... Then she handed me a $5 off coupon and asked me if I could use it. I thought that was very nice. When I go to interfaith storytelling events, I am received extremely warmly by Jews and Christians and it is very refreshing. I have an invitation to tea with an older Jewish lady who grew up in Zimbabwe. Life has improved since I started wearing hijab, in general, Masha Allah.

I have a strange experience last summer ...well , before salate El maghrib there was a Darsse (lesson by a youngscholar in the mosque )..so i need to walk maybe 2 or 3 klm  ...I don't like to use a cab ..i like to walk ...so i begin to walk straight to the mosque ...but when i reach a popular street I saw a woman with a man , the woman was crying and scaring ...and when she pass near me I heard her words and understand that she lost his little boy who has 3 years ...so without any words i change my way to look for the child and look around maybe i see a lost little child but unfortunately I didn't see anything so I feel very sorry for the mom and go on in my way to the mosque ...but after a few meters I saw a man who seems familiar for me ( there is a mosque around there which I have praying in much time so i know a lot of ppl ) with 3 children 2 boy and 1 girl ...and I remark he was talking with a boy in a way seem that someone look for his parents so i came near to him without suspect of course and i try to heard what is he talking about with the little boy ...where do you live eh but the little boy was calm and scared...Ah I understand the boy was lost and I m sure he is the lost one so I talk directly to the man : oh sir is the boy losing... he replied Oh yes he was crying in the shop so ... I found him there ...I said: Oh yes yes I know where his mom come on let's go in this way please ...so we come back to the popular street where I have seen the mom (before i leave the area I look which building the mom was entering, where it should be her home ) and just when we reach it the mom saw us with her boy ...she rushes to him with tears ..... I leave directly without waiting any thing ....it's amazing experience for me ....
note : sorry for my poor English
