:salam2:
In Islamic events it is often that we get to meet new people, and according to our religion it is good to give salaam and introduce ourselves even if we don't know that person. That has happened to me, we give salaams, introduce ourselves briefly, and usually we exchange emails.
However, sometimes I feel unsure in following up the correspondence. Afterall, we don't know that person other than random meetings. I do have friends that I've never met, but usually they have an online presence that gives me a glimpse of who that person is. It could be a blog, a writing, the thought process etc which paints an overall picture. MashaAllah I have met very nice brothers randomly and sometimes we can even have something to talk about, something that connects. But yet we part ways and all we've left with is an email address.
How about you? Have you had good relations with a Muslim you've just met by chance? In the west it is such a happy feeling to even meet another Muslim, and we don't want to waste the opportunity to make new friends.
