Assalamu alaikom dear Sisters and Brothers,
I just wanted to say a prayer for each of you that has turned to Islam and is really doing his/her best to seek knowledge and be a true Muslim. May Allah, subhanahu wa ta'ala, reward you for your efforts, it is a dedication in the Light of Allah.
I am embarassed to say that I became a "Muslim" some 17years ago and although I believed that Islam was the only way for me, I did not have the commitment that so many of you have until quite recently and it still pales in comparison to many of you. For so long, being "Muslim" meant for me not drinking alcohol, avoiding pork and fasting Ramadan..... I know, pretty pathetic really.....
Anyway, seeing all your commitment on TTI really inspires me :ma: and knowing that I am a lot older than most of you here, at 38, it makes me want to make up for lost time, if Allah will keep me in dunya for a little while so I can be better prepared for Al Akhira.
My husband has bought me several volumes of just Bukhari hadith as lack of knowledge of hadith is one of my major pitfalls. I have to admit, I never realized there would be so many thick volumes of hadith and this is just Bukhari. However, I will persevere to seek knowledge, Insha Allah.
To any recent reverts to Islam that see this, take example from the many great young brothers and sisters on this website and in your community. Please do not follow in my footsteps of procrastinating. We never know when our time might be up in this world.
Wassalam
