:ma: if you can write and read it so where is the problem i guess what you have to do now is much easier than you did as you already knew the hardest parts and because you do this for the sake of Allah so i am sure inshAllah you will complete what you started in order to please Allah and He will be with you always because you are doing it to get closer to Him
May Allah reward you with al jannah ameen

http://www.madinaharabic.com/

forgive me...but i cant seem to find my books but want to share a good site to learn arabic inshallah...hope this helps inshallah.

The third link, course ONLY if you already can read Arabic already and want grammar knowledge.

I have found a lot of brothers who never spoke arabic really do well with these courses.

I have found these to be of great value for me and my children living in the USA. By the way I was born speaking only Arabic but taught formally in the English language. These resources helped me connect the dots between the two languages:

http://www.understandquran.com/home.html

http://www.madinaharabic.com/

http://www.lqtoronto.com/

They are all of great value and may Allah increase for them in this life and the Hereafter and keep them far from hell-fire.

Salam,
Studying arabic is soooo hard. I know hard to read it and understand most of the words in the quran but grammer! SOOOOOOOOO hard. Like for example:
In arabic everything has a male and female tense, even numbers.
So when do you use this and when do you use that.
Well first thing is if you are using the numbers 1 and 2!
It is the same gender as the thing you want to number. E.g.:
1(male) boy(male)
2(female) girls(female)
And from the numbers 3-9 they are different gender:
4(male) cats (female)
And soooo forth.
It is sooo hard!
The arabs back then must have been reeeeeeeally smart to know this stuff

That was very interesting, brother. Thanks for sharing it. I will share it with my colleagues at school. :)

So is Spanish and Russian, to name a few languages.

There are difficulties in every language. I studied 38 of them! The main difficulty in Arabic is not its grammar, it's script and phonology. Arabic grammar is quite straightforward compared to English because it has patterns that all words comply with. In English, for instance, there are three different past tenses while in Arabic there is only one. In English you say "I ate", "I have eaten" and "I had eaten". In Arabic you simply say "Akaltu" :)

IMHO, the problem with learning a new language is in the way it is taught! The best way to learn a language is the way a child learns it: by hearing it spoken, seeing it written and trying it out. I have a cousin who after taking English in school for 12 years couldn't speak English well if her life depended on it! Then she went to the UK with her husband and in two years she was speaking English like a native!

Pronunciation is also peculiar in English while in Arabic it always conforms to the rules with very few exceptions. For example, "Nature" is pronounced "Nay tsher" while "Mature" is pronounced "Ma tyoor"!

Here are a few more idiosyncrasies of English I found. Enjoy them :)

"We'll begin with a box, and the plural is boxes;
but the plural of ox became oxen not oxes.
One fowl is a goose, but two are called geese,
yet the plural of moose should never be meese
You may find a lone mouse or a nest full of mice;
yet the plural of house is houses, not hice.
If the plural of man is always called men,
why shouldn't the plural of pan be called pen?
If I spoke of my foot and show you my feet,
and I give you a boot, would a pair be called beet?
If one is a tooth and a whole set are teeth,
why shouldn't the plural of booth be called beeth?
Then one may be that, and three would be those,
yet hat in the plural would never be hose,
and the plural of cat is cats, not cose.
We speak of a brother and also of brethren,
but though we say mother, we never say methren.
Then the masculine pronouns are he, his and him,
but imagine the feminine, she, shis and shim...."

Some reasons to be grateful if you grew up speaking English:
1) The bandage was wound around the wound.
2) The farm was used to produce produce
3) The dump was so full that it had to refuse more refuse.
4) We must polish the Polish furniture.
5) He could lead if he would get the lead out.
6) The soldier decided to desert his dessert in the desert.
7) Since there is no time like the present, he thought it was time to present the present.
8) At the army base, a bass was painted on the head of a bass drum.
9) When shot at, the dove dove into the bushes.
10) I did not object to the object.
11) The insurance was invalid for the invalid.
12) There was a row among the oarsmen about how to row.
13) They were too close to the door to close it.
14) The buck does funny things when the does are present.
15) A seamstress and a sewer fell down into a sewer line.
16) To help with planting, the farmer taught his sow to sow.
17) The wind was too strong to wind the sail.
18) After a number of Novocain injections, my jaw got number.
19) Upon seeing the tear in the painting I shed a tear.
20) I had to subject the subject to a series of tests.
21) How can I intimate this to my most intimate friend?
22) I spent last evening evening out a pile of dirt. "

yes indeed very interesting
jazaka Allahu khyran for sharing
you know what i guess you are very talented and i am alittle jealous:lol: (just kiddin)
i wish you all the best and may Allah increase you with knowledge ameen
