Minority Report

Salaam,

I believe that we have come to the times of Minority Report. The decision to jail Mr. Padilla is reminescent of the theme of the popular movie starring Tom Cruise. It seems that in the Untied States a person who can be jailed without commiting a crime. There needs to be no physical evidence nor any circumstantial evidence. There needs to be no evidence.
Go figure.

Salaam,

I was referring to the legal precedents this case allows from now on. We will have a fury of sentencing. This is a new twist in American Justice. African Americans have been treated without respect to the law. This is a new chapter. Funny thing the judge was African American.

Salaam,
Funny thing the judge was African American.
Was she? I thought she was Hispanic. The name sounded like it.

Even if the judge was African American, I won't be surprised. A lot of African Americans take what Martin Luther King Jr. did for granted. If you listen to his speech, he clearly states the need for equality not only for the African Americans but also everyone else. That is what he stood for. However if you look at some of the African American politicians now(Obama) you can see that King's speech didn't quite get through to them.

I'm not being offensive, but most African Americans reflect upon King's speech during the Black History month but the second that it's over, they go back to being hypocrites. Of course this doesn't hold true for all African Americans, don't get me wrong here.
