Mistake in prayer do i do?

So what happened was i was praying asr just now and i made a mistake all was going well but then instead of sayin e tehiyatu on the 4th rakat i said it on the third i dont know where my brain went so i stopped i just thought i made a mistake in prayer i am close to allah during salaah so here i am typing this and im going to perform prayer again do i have to stop when doing this is it bad?

Assalamu alaykum,

If in Asr, which is four rakats, you sit for tashahud in the third rakat, then this is a mistake by adding extra, simply continue your prayer as normal. At the end of the prayer, do two "sujud sahuw", prostration for forgetfulness, then make the salam as normal to complete the prayer. You should not break your prayer and "pray again", when you realise you have made a mistake, continue to pray as normal, then apply the prostration of forgetfulness.
