I hope you are all doing well and in the best of health inshAllah....

I was wondering if anyone knew of any muslim adoption agencies in the US? I know that technically all children are considered Muslim and pure, but my aunt (she's the one that's interested in adoption) would like a child that was born to Muslim parents and is preferably of Middle Eastern or South Asian/Central Asian background. So as a result, this is her decision and not mine. Thanks for any help you guys can give.

Salaam,

There are no Muslim adoption agencies per se but you can adopt internationally from a Muslim country such as Pakistan or Morrocco. (I have friends who've adopted from those areas. India also has many children in orphanages in need of parents and homes. Here is a link that give information on Pakistani adoption...http://www.pakistanadoption.com/

Funny that you mentioned Pakistani adoption. That was actually my aunt's preference as her preference IS a Pakistani child and she actually tried to adopt from many of the orphanages listed on this website. However, after years of trying to pursue an international adoption, she's come across so many roadblocks that are hindering her from going through with it, especially since recent American laws are now prohibiting adoption from many Pakistani agencies due to the current political situation. So that's why she decided on domestic adoption. Thus, if any of you guys know of any good domestic adoption agencies in the United States, please don't hesitate to let me know. JazakAllah khair!
