Muslim weddings

Assalaamu alyikum,

I'm going to a muslim wedding this afternoon and was wondering if there is anything that you say to the bride/family when you meet them when u get there? I mean do you say like "nikah mubarak" or something?

yes there is one dua'a :
الدعاء للمتزوج ـ" بارك الله لك ، وبارك عليك ، وجمع بينكما في خير ...
Baraqa Allaaho Laqa , wa Baraqa Alaika , Wa djamaà Bainakoma Fi el khair ...

jazkaAllah, Is there an english translation of that? I'm no good with pronouncing transliteration or arabic yet...

Greetings to the Groom

The guests should make du'a for the groom and his bride and ask Allah to bless them. The Prophet (sas) used to say to the groom:

"Baaraka Allahu laka wa baaraka 'alaika wa jama'a bainakumaa fiy al-khairi."
"May Allah bless you, bestow blessings upon you and join you two together in all that is good." Abu-Daud & others and it is sahih....
