Early Christians May Have Had a Model For the 3 Day Resurrection
One of the many reasons Christians believe that the resurrection story from the New Testement is so believable is "Who could make this stuff up?" Well, a recent find (a 3ft high tablet) dubbed "Gabriel's Revelation" may have an answer to that.
The tablet, an ink on stone document, has been dated to around 2 B.C. and contains a story similar to the resurrection story found in the New Testement, including a man named 'Simon' being resurrected 3 days after being killed by the Romans.
The Tablet was purchased by David Jeselsohn, a Swiss-Israeli collector, from a Jordanian antiquites dealer. Jeselsohn had no idea what was written on the tablet.
