Assalam Alaikum: My Islamic Br's & Sis's.
Today my Mum and other women at my home observed a ritualistic fast. This fast do not correspond to our Islamic fasting. She just about an hour before took her meals after witnessing Moon in the sky as a sign of breaking the fast.
Even after sighting the Moon she awaited my Dad to arrive and began her meals only after my Dad began his dinner.
My Mum is very innocent and she just adheres to rituals and religion what she has been witnessing since her childhood. Undoubtedly she commits Shirk but out of her innocence. By Allah I have never found her uttering a single word against any individual except out of advise.
The message of true Deen is being passed to her but its on to Allah to guide her. She never stopped me following Islam. Rather when I acquainted her of my reversion she advised me to stand firm in Islam. My Dad still doesn't know for my reversion to Islam but he is familiar with my inclination towards Islam.
Is not Shirk by my Mum out of innocence forgivable?.
May Allah guide my parents and my progeny to Islam.
Regards.
Abdullah.
