My mistake and My advice

I made terrible mistake of getting into a debate without the proper knowledge. But alhamdullilah I was able to finish it off without hurting religiom. Just a warning please dont make the sam mistake I made of Debating about religion without the proper knowledge.

That is good advice brother! It is a temptation from shaytan to think you have all the knowledge needed but deep inside you're doubtful.

The only time knowledge is dangerous is when a person knows little and thinks they know A lot!

I remind myself before everyone!

Trust me...it's really hard to say I don't know, but think of the grave punishment you can aquire if people followed what you said and it's false in Islam...

Thats a good reminder. But I will add to that, if you debate, then you will realize how little your knowledge is and then you will make every effort to increase your knowledge then gradually you will overcome you weeknesses. InshAllah.

Attention: There is a technique in doing Dawa. Only having full knowledge is not enough. Doing Dawah with non-muslim is different.

sometimes we need to do dawa with muslims too. In such case the technique used for it is different.

I second that strongly. If you are the debating type, go ahead and debate. However, when you are asked something that you do know much about, you can always say, "That, I don't know, but I can find out for you. I'll get back to you on that." It's not easy to say because you admit lack of knowledge, but it is the right thing to do.

Thats exactly how I got out and then I went back and explained everything but I know now that I better think before talking or starting an argument.
