I wrote this while indulging in a captivating matter
One that makes you think so much your life begins to shatter
While indulging in the midst of the 'pomp' & the 'glitter'
Imagine tasting life’s only certainty..
For The Almighty says 'Every soul shall have the taste of death'
Only He knows the origin of my last breath
From my flashing moments of tears and laughs, just one second..
For my whole world to become blackened.
From my first heartbeat right to my last
And everything in between - the present; the past
My joys & my sufferings, it was all pre-planned
Everything 'till the day I leave this temporary land
But until then I've been given a choice
Whether in this life, I'll repent or rejoice
To act upon Al-Haqq, it's down to me
But the Final Verdict is only from He.
And I once heard a believer lives life as a stranger
With a one-way ticket, just like a passenger
So I have to choose the path that none can intercede
And my faiths gotta’ be so solid, not even Satan can mislead.
If only my Imaan could just be that strong
To alternate away from the ways of the wrong
With the Mercy of Allah, I'd surely cross that path
Yes the final obstacle; the one & only Seerat
But first I've got to stand my ground & ignore all those desires
And know that Satan’s whispers will only feed the Fires
But yet the sins I commit & the mistakes I make
I pray, 'Ya Ilaahi, I beg you to forsake!'
So now as I finish, am I still breathing?
'Cos there will come a time when my heart stops beating.
Until then, the clock is still ticking, up 'till my death hour will chime..
With no turning back,
My last breath escapes,
& that's when I know; It's my time.
