salam alaykum

i have a tough one....my uncle(dads bro) talks against Islam.....he does believe in Allah (swt) but he doesnt believe in the prophet Muhammad (saw) and says he was sort of those warlords or tribal leaders that do whatever they want and killed or beat any1 that opposed him(saw) and says other ill things bout him (saw) and Islam :astag:

so is there a punishment for him???.......oh yeah and hes stubborn......he only believes in saying the shahada before death and believes in Allah(swt) thats it........

brother, it seems that you have tried to reason with your uncle. you have done your part. remember that whosoever ALLAH SWT guides to the right path can never ever be led astray; and whosoever ALLAH SWT misguides cannot be brought back to the straight path without ALLAH SWT doing so. i remember reading a hadith, i can't remember who narrated it, but if one knows the hadith fairly well he or she would know of this hadith that i'm mentioning; the Prophet said: ( paraphrasing ) that are tawbah would be accepted except when our soul reaches our throat. what that means is that we really can't make tawbah on our deathbed. if you are about to die in 5 minutes, how can you show ALLAH SWT that you were sincere in your tawbah, when you have no time to do any good deeds?

so when your uncle says that he'll do tawbah when he's old and dying, he doesn't realize that death can approach him whether he is in good or bad health. how many of us have heard ignorant muslims say that they'll do hajj when they're older, they wanna enjoy life now? these people don't even realize that they aren't even promised tomorrow. insha'allah he will see the error in his thinking. and may ALLAH SWT keep us away from thinking that we have forever to make things right with ALLH AWJ ameen.

I'm sad about what's ur uncle says about Rasol Allah Muhammad s.a.w. Your uncle believes that he will say shahada when death is near, i dont think he cant afford to do that - i am sorry.
