:salam2: my brother and sisters
recently, i found out that Doritos ( they are my fav thing to eat) and Cheetos, are haram aparently it has something to be with the enzymes being used to make cheese are taken from pig, now im confuse cuz people who have taken chemistry now that enzyme only help speed up the reaction they are not part of the product, So can we still say that that cheese is haram?? also in many products including milk and stuff enzymes are taken from animals, you cant say we cant drink milk now? cuz well first of all we can take enzyme without slaughtering animal so it could be from any animal.
Also, if anyone here knows how bread is made, the step of Leavening (Leavening is the process of adding gas to a dough before or during baking to produce a lighter, more easily chewed bread. Most bread consumed in the West is leavened) uses yeast, one of the thing that yeast makes is alcohol as its by product, but when the bread is done the alcohol evaporates.
So wouldn't this cheese be under the same category? also is bread haram then cuz Alcohol is there in the process in the making of it?
Please shed some light on this subject my knowledgable brothers/sisters
