Need help

Assalamu Alaikum ,
Anytime I intend to memorize a Surah or Ayah from the Quran for Sallat purpose, Something(probably Shaytan) makes it seem to me that I am only doing it for showing off........this discourages me from continue....what should I do?

akhi, it's probably SHAYTAN so, simply say AothobiAllah Mina-shaitaan ar-rajeem and carry on, if you are too scared then maybe go to your room alone and memorize there(you are alone in your room, who you showing off to??) so, Shaytan wont even try to bother you, but always seek refuge with Allah from Shaitan the accursed...I hope I helped

one famous scholar said that if you are praying in mosque and shaitan comes and says to you that you are showing off, dont shorten ur prayer.

so keep memorising Quran, no matter wht shaitan says to u.
and if u are scared of showing off, do it when alone and dont tell to others how much u memorised until somebody asks u.
