New Convert to Islam

Assalamu Alaikum my brothers and sisters--It has been 8 weeks since converting to Islam and I have been blessed by Allah in learning a little more with each passing day--I have about 10 books sent to me from saudi arabia compliments of Islam Religion.com and I have plenty of material for study. I am saying my 5 daily salah and wudu and going to the mosque in kansas city for the friday salah. There are about 4 fellow muslims brothers where I work at the Kansas City Star newspaper for me to fellowship with. Of course, I would like to also fellowship with all of you dear brothers and sisters.

my conversion

Assalamu Alaikum brothers and sisters--I was raised as a christian since 1969, when I made my profession of faith to Jesus but over the years, I felt a let down in my christian faith since it seemed like christians could just do anything they wanted to do--it was a very broad path. 4 months ago, I started reading from the Noble Qu'ran, which I found at a used book store and after reading about half of it, I felt a desire to convert to Islam--one sunday morning at about 5 am, I logged on to Islam Religion.com and that web site showed me how to say the Shahada, which I did--it has now been just over 8 weeks since I converted to Islam and IR.com sent me 10 books from saudi arabia about Islam-so ever since, I have been praying the salah daily and started to go to the friday salah at the local mosque. I have found in Islam a real purpose for living and desire to dedicate my life to seving Allah

Scripture (Jews and Christians), those who believe in Allah and in that which has been revealed to you, and in that which has been revealed to them, humbling themselves before Allah. They do not sell the Verses of Allah for a little price, for them is a reward with their Lord. Surely, Allah is Swift in account) 3:199

May ALLAH (S:W:T) make this journey easy for you bro .For knowledge is the key
