Occupation Forces kidnapped nearly 3500 since recent “peace talks” started

The Nafah society, which defends the rights of Palestinian detainees in Israeli prisons, reported on Monday that the Israeli army kidnapped nearly 3500 Palestinian since recent peace talks started between the Palestinian leadership in Ramallah and Israel.

The Society stated that after Israel released 250 detainees as a “good will gesture”, the army kidnapped 500 residents, including some of those who were released recently.

The army also kidnapped more than 100 residents in the recent invasion that targeted Al Ein refugee camp, in the northern West Bank city of Nablus.

Hundreds of residents were kidnapped in recent invasion that targeted several Palestinian areas in the West Bank and the Gaza Strip.

The society stated that the issue of detainees should not be divided, and should be treated as a top priority in any peace talks with Israel, and should not be left to “the Israeli good will gestures”.

In related news, detainees imprisoned in the Huwwara Israeli detention facility, complained that the Red Cross did not visit them since a long period, and that they are facing harsh living conditions.

Detainee Mohammad Abu Leil, from Balata refugee camp in Nablus, stated that he was shot and injured a short period before he was arrested, and that he still have a bullet in his leg while the administration is rejecting to allow him receive the needed medical attention.

He added that he had a surgery scheduled to remove the bullet, but the army kidnapped him before the scheduled date.

Lawyers of the society managed to meet with several detainees in Huwwara, and the detainee complained of bad living conditions, and from the lack of medical attention to sick and injured detainees.
