WE ARE PROTECTED
all i can say instead of mashallah or alhumdulilah is OH MY GOD, OH MY GOD because im in shock from what i learnt in my tafseer class.
subhan allah, when i think, ponder, imagine or have a religious question and keep it to myself, within seconds the answer is visible to me eg: someone will mention the topic or speak about it, etc. it does freak me out sometimes and i say OH MY GOD because it just happened and made me cry.
i was continuing the Tafseer of surah Al Ghaashiya, the begining of the surah speaks about the kufar and how they will be punish etc, the middle about the jannah and our rewards etc, then before it reached the end, i paused the audio and was pondering, and thinking and almost cried,
'how can Allah give us all this,
from verse 10 - 16, i was thinking how will Allah give us this, im i thought 'im thinking kufar or something, but i believe it i believe in it, but do we deserve this, do i deserve this, i lack concentration in reciting quran and praying, i dont do as much as im suppose to, some people do less some more, but do we deserve all this, the prophets and companions worked hard and fought for islam and were very tuff, none of us men or women have this strength these days. but do we deserve what Allah will give them' then i thought, im not supposed to think, but i couldnt help thinking 'its too much, allah is going to give us too much, so is it true' i do know its true but i cant explain what i was thinking, then i cried and thought, i've disappointed my lord because of this. oh allah help me find the answer and block these silly thoughts from my head.
when i continued the audio, this is what my teacher said. it was as if he heard me and answered it and i cant stop crying and wanted to share this with everyone incase someone thought the same:
my teacher read out:
(17) Do they not look at the Camels, how they are made?-
(18) And at the Sky, how it is raised high?-
(19) And at the Mountains, how they are fixed firm?-
(20) And at the Earth, how it is spread out?
and said:
the reason why allah spoke about all this after he told us what we get in Janna is because 'the one that will give you all this / jannah, is the one that created what you have (as mentioned from verse 17-20'
another reason -Allah means by it 'if i have the ability to create all this then i have the ability to create and give you all that.
some of the olama spoke about why the camels were mentioned first is because to some arabs, camel meant the source of wealth. camels meant food, clothes, travel, milk, wealth, money, and it is the main animal that they live on. and other olama say, look at the camel and how big it is, some wont know how big a camel is until they see one, and you will not know how big it is until you ride one, they are huge, the olama say 'and look how big it is, and yet it works for you, look how big it is and yet it is kind and nice with his children. look how it comes out, when it comes out it comes out like jelly, and then it hardens when it sees life. they also spoke about how the urine and milk of a camel has so many benefits in it medically as well'
what about how Allah created that complicated structure of how the heavens is and works. we see a blue sky raised up high, but if you study the science etc, you will see much more beyond it and hard and complicated to understand its structure. But it is not complicated to Allah who created it. it has different, thickness, different types of levels, different types of gas's in it, - its all set and put together perfectly. and allah says dont they see how these heavens were made and how the earth became livable for them, it is round in the first place so how can something round be spread and stabled for us to live on, logically doesnt make sense? so how is it round and flat at the same time:
وَإِلَى الْأَرْضِ كَيْفَ سُطِحَتْ
Allah subhana wa talala speaks about these things because to us it seems ordinary, because we see it everyday, - some of the olama say us being very close to something, will make a shield between you and it. it will make a shield that you will not realise, what is with you. thats why Allah goes back and tells us about what is around you. look into it, study what your living on, study what your eating, study what you are writing, what you are watching, and then know, who made it. why? because when you study it, you will realise these are not just a simple issue. when the world moves and then stables itself, and how it was made and how:
وَإِلَى الْجِبَالِ كَيْفَ نُصِبَتْ
and how the mountains were set and put in it.
allah does not tell us to close our eyes to the creation, he tells us to open our eyes to the creation, but instead of you opening your eyes to the creation from the window of disbelief, open your eyes to the window of belief. instead of saying, this is something that randomly happened, look into your heart, and see, do you feel satisfied with that??? and can you ever then say that this is something that happened by random / chance ??? its impossible because even the world of chance has a law. eg: probability is a law for how a chance can happen, and has a mathematical equation, and it works so even that has a law. so allah tells you go out and look and think who creates.
so when we think about janna and jahanam, think about what is here, and when you know what is the complexity in what was around you in your life, then you will know that the one that was able to create this, it will not be difficult for him to create what is happening in the akirah / hereafter.
then allah gives us example: of the camels that you have, which is closest to the arabs, and then of the heavens that is above them, and the earth that is spread and round, and the mountains that are around.
when you read about the facts of the camels, of how long the camel can stay without water and food, because it can store about 20 or so liters of water in it, and then carries its own fat in it, which melts as it travels out the sea, its amazaing how this creation, was made and was set and was placed. subhan allah. allah akbar.
so all these things that allah gave us are things we can see and we can relate to. and after allah mentions all this, he then says:
فَذَكِّرْ إِنَّمَا أَنتَ مُذَكِّرٌ (21
Therefore do thou give admonition, for thou art one to admonish.
meaning: so oh mouhamad when you speak to them your role is to remind them, remind them of the role of allah subhan wa talala.
--------------
this was my lesson which brought me into tears and mostly because i found my answer to the questions which i was ashamed of thinking about. the quran has all the answers to our questions and hearts. allah did not leave us to sit and wonder and guess and he did not leave us on our own, he is there, he is helping us to find the answers, he is answering us.
salam to all
