Once Upon A Winter’s Night
Once upon a winter’s night
I walked into the twilight
Of my darkened soul
Seeking to be made whole
I looked upon the days gone
All the good deeds I left undone
As I frolicked and played without a care
With regret my frozen heart began to tear
I raised my hands to the heavens above
Seeking Allah’s Love
All the pain I caused
Breaking Allah’s divine laws
O Allah! Forgive me before I die
Echoed my ever resounding cry
Till whispers in the wind
Shouted songs birds sing
My heart all aglow
As Allah’s love and mercy began to flow
Dawn’s early light
Danced within my sight
My faith forged anew
My past misdeeds I bid adieu
As I walked along this journey
Striving to be the best I can be
Once upon a winter’s night
I walked into the twilight
Of my darkened soul
Seeking to be made whole
I looked upon the days gone
All the good deeds I left undone
As I frolicked and played without a care
With regret my frozen heart began to tear
I raised my hands to the heavens above
Seeking Allah’s Love
All the pain I caused
Breaking Allah’s divine laws
O Allah! Forgive me before I die
Echoed my ever resounding cry
Till whispers in the wind
Shouted songs birds sing
My heart all aglow
As Allah’s love and mercy began to flow
Dawn’s early light
Danced within my sight
My faith forged anew
My past misdeeds I bid adieu
As I walked along this journey
Striving to be the best I can be
