One, two, eventually all
By Abu Khattab

One down, two down, all of them fall,
I look and I see a collapsing state.
Like a wall of bricks coming to ground,
Underneath it are my brothers whose pain is unfelt.

I see my sisters chanting words,
"Go away, go away!" I hear on television.
It makes me wonder, where are the men?
Where have they gone? Are they all in a slumber?

I see the heads of my brothers smashed open,
The bullets in flight a common surrounding.
Blood flowing from their wounds I see all day,
Like a tap releasing a gush of red water.

A tyrant leader has taken the stage,
False promises made to my brothers and sisters.
An oppressive cloud that rains on the people,
Drowning them further in demise and poverty.

The flags of the nation I see being waved,
A sight that tears my heart from my chest.
Why O why? Where is our Islam?
Where is the flag of the black and white?

A domino effect has hit the nations,
But to what benefit has it been for us?
A shot in the dark that has surely missed,
Even though the light of Islam was there to guide.

One down, two down, all of them fall,
The answer is near yet the people are blind.
For how much longer will we reside in darkness?
For how much longer will the blood of the believer spill?

One down, two down, all of them fall,
When will the believers tame their affairs?
Why do we bring a tyrant from the west,
To monopolize our commodities and implement their falseness?

When will the believers bring back our nation?
When will our Book be in our actions and hearts?
When will the flag of the black and white,
Wave ferociously high across all our lands?

When will that day of victory come?
For now we remain lost in a blinding abyss.
The tyrants are falling so let us rise,
At the moment one fell, two fell, but all will fall.
