I deal with these web-sites all the time as there are Sisters (and their parents) who have asked me to help them with their affairs.

Make sure that you put YOUR contact details for information as there are a lot of SICK people, out there.

I don't even tell the Sisters about half of the e-mails and conversations that I have on their behelf because they will just freak out.

There are good Muslim brothers out there & then there are *SCUM BAGS*

There is no single good list as they change from time to time!

I think you should stick to ppl you know personally or who's family you know. you can never be to careful with those websites!

I met my husband online, can't even remember what site it was . Alhamdulilah our marriage is really great mashAllah but I think that most of the time people aren't so lucky, I met my husband when I was 18 and lets just say I was at an age where I wasn't thinking of the consequences. All I have to say to people who go online looking for a spouse is to be very very careful, and make sure that the possible husband lives close to you or will be willing to relocate so that you son't have to leave your family.

I personally do not like match website thing, I believe there are other ways of meting husband or wife, the person you will be married you should be someone you know and love, not someone you met on line. Please be careful, you can never trust these websites. And good luck finding a suitable person.

Sisters should get a Wali!

Some Brothers/Sisters don't have a choice; they don't have the family connections; their communities don't/can't help them. They don't have a large circle of freinds, they are shy and don't like approaching people etc. etc. etc.

I know people (Masha'Allah) who are happily married using these sites; but you have to be careful and it is BEST that Sisters ASK a Brother to deal with the initial proposals on their behalf (Its Sunnah anyways!)

I also wish that our Brothers/Sisters wouldn't have to do these things; but practically we don't have a choice.
