Orphans!

palestine

Servant of Allah
The reason behind this thread is not so that we can be sad and complain dear brothers and sisters; but rather to think, understand and relfect on our daily lives and give what we can to the orphans and to anyone in need. we need to remember that in order for our ummah to change, we have to change ourselves for the better. not change to become MODERNIZED, but to change by becoming strong believers, muslims and muimins. to change by thinking of others, and doing what we can for the sake of Allah to help them. so often we cry about how many muslim orphans there are, but have you done enough to help them? have you really given all that you can to help them survive? sometimes or should i say often, we withhold what we have although we want to give it away because we think: hey i myself am in need, i have bills to pay, i have a family to support, i have this or that, that i need. oh brothers and sisters in islam, remember that Allah will reward you more when you give more. do not withhold what you have. sponsor an orphan or feed them today. think about it, reflect upon it. you are in a safe haven while they think of how to survive within that hour. you sleep comfortably while they suffer and starve to death. you have a protection from the rain and snow, while they hide beneath a tree. fear Allah and give what you can. rizaq(provision) is from Allah, you earned what you have because he willed it for you. he gave you the the strength you use, the skills, and the mind you have.

Narrated Abu Said Al-Khudri : Once the Prophet sat on a pulpit and we sat around him. Then he said, "The things I am afraid of most for your sake (concerning what will befall you after me) is the pleasures and splendors of the world and its beauties which will be disclosed to you." Somebody said, "O Allah's Apostle! Can the good bring forth evil?" The Prophet remained silent for a while. It was said to that person, "What is wrong with you? You are talking to the Prophet (p.b.u.h) while he is not talking to you." Then we noticed that he was being inspired divinely. Then the Prophet wiped off his sweat and said, "Where is the questioner?" It seemed as if the Prophet liked his question. Then he said, "Good never brings forth evil. Indeed it is like what grows on the banks of a water-stream which either kill or make the animals sick, except if an animal eats its fill the Khadira (a kind of vegetable) and then faces the sun, and then defecates and urinates and grazes again. No doubt this wealth is sweet and green. Blessed is the wealth of a Muslim from which he gives to the poor, the orphans and to needy travelers. (Or the Prophet said something similar to it) No doubt, whoever takes it illegally will be like the one who eats but is never satisfied, and his wealth will be a witness against him on the Day of Resurrection." (Book #24, Hadith #544)

Narrated Jabir: My father died and left behind seven or nine daughters, and I married a woman. The Prophet said, "Did you get married, O Jabir?" I replied, "Yes." He asked, "Is she a virgin or a matron?" I replied, "She is a matron." He said, "Why didn't you marry a virgin girl so that you might play with her and she with you (or, you might make her laugh and she make you laugh)?" I said, "My father died, leaving seven or nine girls (orphans) and I did not like to bring a young girl like them, so I married a woman who can look after them." He said, "May Allah bestow His Blessing on you." (Book #75, Hadith #396)

brothers and sisters we need to take the issue not lightly but seriously. brothers and sisters there will be a day where WE WILL BE QUESTIONED FOR OUR ACTIONS, so please do not ignore the orphans. give what you can. just think of them as your own children, wouldn't you want them to be able to eat and have much more choices then the orphans you see now. see i have many orphan friends who are taken care of by relatives. and although they live with their relatives they will always be missing something in their heart. the love of their parents. asalamu alaykum wrwb. :hijabi:

:salam2: thank you sister palestine. there are so many organizations now that sponsor orphans and families in muslim countries in need. let us not be of those that just sit around and feel sorry for our brothers and sisters in less fortunate situations but do our best to make a difference by action and charity.
