There was an earthquake in Pakistan last night. Created quite a panic. I myself was awake at that time. And trust me....i does give you quite a scare... May Allah (swt) protect us from all hardships.(ameen)
ISLAMABAD, Oct 23 (KUNA) -- An earthquake of high-intensity jolted a large swath of Pakistan after midnight Thursday, creating panic but there were no immediate reports of life or property loss.
According to Metrological Department, an earthquake of 6.4 magnitude jolted Pakistans Punjab, Baluchistan and North-West Frontier Province (NWFP) provinces and Federally Administered Tribal Area (FATA).
It was originated from mountain range of Koh Hindu Kush, 300 kilometers away from Peshawar.
The quake, which was felt for more than 30 seconds, created panic among people and forced them to come out of their houses in the mid of night.
It revived the memories of Oct. 8, 2005 earthquake which had the intensity of 7.6 and it killed more than 73,000 people and displaced 2.5 million others.
There were no immediate reports of life loss or property damage from any of the areas, rattled by the quake.
