August the 14th is Pakistan's independence day that is celebrated by Pakistanis around the world in various ways!.Things are difficult in the country at the moment with war raging in neighbouring Afghanistan but Allah says that "after hardship comes ease" which is a great comfort to the believers!

I'm not a patriot but have travelled greatly within the land and love it to bits...from the Punjab to Sindh and the troubled Frontier and Balochistan regions the country has lots to offer including breathtaking scenery and an amazingly hospitable people.Being the only Islamic nuclear power means it's constantly a problem for the enemies of Islam and in all honesty i reckon the Muslim family will eventually need these weapons to defend themselves.

Here's wishing the nation of my forefathers a happy birthday!.

salam aleikum

There is nothing in the Quran or Sunnah that tells us Muslims should celebrate countrys national or Independance days ..Its very sad that many Muslims celebrate nowdays everything and following countries traditions ,instead of following Sunnah of the Prophet, peace be upon him...Did he ever celebrate these kind of days ? No..then why should we ?

waaleikum salam
