The Hanouns, a Palestinian family evicted by Israeli authorities from their home in East Jerusalem, are protesting their eviction by sleeping on the street outside the house that was for decades their home.

The Sheikh Jarrah neighbourhood in occupied East Jerusalem, where the Hanouns are sleeping rough in protest.

During the Gaza war early last year, we were all aware of the happenings in Palestine. It was the main news that hits every newspapers around the world. The sufferings and torturing that they were going through felt so close to the heart.

Unfortunately, now, are we still aware of the situations there in Gaza? Their situation hasnt change much back there in Gaza but unlike us, we are being so comfortable in our life (eventhough we may face calamities once in a while). Their struggles to have back their homeland is an ongoing jihad.

I heard in a lecture that it is a kind of 'physco' that the media is putting on us. At that time, images of the bombings, of children dying, of broken houses were in the news. But now, nothing. Zero.
People are slowly forgetting about the Gaza and Palestinians.
