yeah that is a big dfference...every picture i see of kabba always has thousand of people surrounding it.

Wow, those are neat pictures. The Kabaa seems almost invisible today when you go outside the mosque, because not only is the mosque so big, the buildings around it tower over it, making it appear teeny tiny!

I think the Ka'bah itself does not look any different today. It's the mosque that has changed a lot. Jazakallaahu Khayr for sharing such amazing collection.
