:salam2: this is the very beautiful nasheed by mishary rashid al-afasy, i only know the meaning of its title; i'm the servant.. can pls any brothers to translate it for me... i've watched its vid in youtube and it made me cry once... so i need the meaning of the lyrics... May Allah Bless us..

أنا العبد الذي كسب الذنوبـــا وصدته الأماني أن يتوبــــــــا

أنا العبـد الـذي أضحـى حزينـــاً على زلاته قلقاً كئيـبــــــــــا

أنا العبد الذي سطـرت علـيـــه صحائف لم يخف فيها الرقيـبــــا

أنا العبد المسيــئ عصـيـت سراً فما لي الآن لا أبدي النحيـبـــا

أنا العبد المفرط ضــاع عـمـــري فلم أرع الشبيبة والمشـيـبـــــا

أنا العبـد الغريـق بلج بحــــــــرٍ أصيـح لربما ألقــى مجيبـــــــــا

أنا العبد السقيـم مـن الخطـايــا وقد أقبلت ألتمـــس الطبيـبــا

أنا العبد الشريد ظلمت نفسي وقد وافيت بابكـم منيـبــــــــا​

What a beautiful poem. Here is the translation, brother.

I am the servant who acquired sins and whose false hopes prevent him from repenting,
I am the servant who is saddened by his shortcomings, worried and depressed,
I am the servant whose actions have been recorded while he did not fear that they were watched,
I am the sinning servant who disobeyed in private, so why don't I now cry in public,
I am the wasteful servant, my life is gone and I have not planned for my old age,
I am the drowing servant in a deep sea yelling for help so that someone will answer,
I am the servant who's become sick from sin and am looking for a doctor,
I am the vagabond servant, I did myself wrong and I'm at Your door in humility.

Is this actually written by Mishary himself...or by some sort of poet?
