i do appreciate the information but plz is there any specific procedure which a person must go.
the case is that my friend is in the US and her husband is in japan. she wants a khula and he is willing. all the mahr she got is with the husbands family already so she has nothing of the husband's or any mahr. so now should the husband say on the phone that i am freeing you from our husband wife relation or send her a document for signature.
is there any need of documentation for this khula>?>
or how should this happen...
what is the next step..
cann anyone plz help...

There are no scholars capable of issueing a fatwa on this forum. I think it better if you call a local mosque and ask this question. Or at least write to an online scholar for a fatwa.
