Purity is Half of the Faith :allahuakbar:

By Mohammad Rafique Etesame

Abu Malik Al-Ashari reported: The Messenger of Allah, peace and blessings be upon him, said, “Purity is half of faith, and the praise of Allah fills the scale. Glorification and praise fill up what is between the heavens and the earth. Prayer is a light, charity is proof, and patience is illumination. The Quran is a proof for you or against you. All people go out early in the morning and sell themselves, either setting themselves free or destroying themselves.

This hadith throws light on many function of a believer. For example if he purifies his body and cloths from the filth, and also purifies his heart from Hypocrisy, hatred, rancor and malice etc. Then this is half of the faith, and if he recites ‘Subhanallah (Glory be to Allah) for one or more times, then it will fills his scale at the Day of Judgment, and reciting ‘ Subhanallha wal-lhamdu- lillah (Glory be to Allah and all praises be to Allah) fills up the distance between the heavens and the earth. And offering prayers creates light that illuminates the face of the believer, and the charity and paying the poor-due, are the evidence (for a believer’s good character), and patience creates inner peace and tranquility.

Similarly, the holy Qur’an is evidence against or in favor of the believer. It means that if one recites the holy

Qur’an in accurate accent and acts upon its teachings, then it will be in favor of him and will make intermediation for him at the Day of Judgment otherwise the evidence will be against the believer. And the people go out early in the morning and sell themselves, either setting themselves free from the hell-fire by the good deeds or destroying themselves by wrong doing.

May Allah All-mighty Give us power to act upon all His commands.
