Yummy! Queen's Birthday Cake

Sister Herb.. I thought you may be interested that Nadiya Hussain the Great British Bake Off winner was chosen to make the Queen's birthday cake. The Queen (UK) is 90 years today. Lovely honour for Nadiya. She has made an orange Madeira cake with an orange marmalade buttercream filling. No photos of the cake yet.

Hope the Queen likes orange

The Queen of England is a beautiful Lady.. Much loved by people's all over the world. If you only have hate to speak better hold back from speaking at all. If you have no interest in baking .... Maybe butt out.

Here is the cake Sister Herb. Many said it looked wonky. I think they were bit jealous they had not been asked to make the cake.

Well... the most important is of course like how it tastes. It looks a bit of... modern.

yes.. It is modern, but the Queen maybe 90 years but she has a young heart. I thought it made a refreshing change from the usual formal cakes.

Nadiya is excellent baker I am sure it was delicious.

Lol.. Definitely no Madeira wine needed. It was named because it was a popular cake in the 1800s and it was often served with Madeira wine... Which was also popular at that time. It's just a sponge maybe bit richer and denser texture than the Victoria Sponge recipe. It can be flavoured many ways. I think orange would be good. lemon also, Lemon drizzle cake I think is Madeira sponge.

You don't speak truth about the Queen.. You speak your opinion. The Queen has no power to order death of any person or pillage their lands.

You only have your hate. So this thread is about the baking of yummy cakes. Your hateful political agenda or whatever has no place here. Bless Nadiya and Muslims like her who live in peace and harmony with non Muslims. Which makes the world a better place to live. You think God wants killing in His name.... NO. You are wrong.

This thread is about a yummy cake. If you don´t like it, you are in the wrong thread right now. I don´t know what are your aims when you come here as a new member and start to pick a fight as your the first job. Do you like her´s cake or not? Do you think that she would like more about chocolate? Or maybe marzipan? I as a Muslim see it ok if I at the some day can serve delicious cakes to my friend Cariad. Just same to me if she isn´t a Muslim. No need to tell you disagree - I didn´t ask permission for my cake parties from unknown brothers in some forum.

I am sure we would have a yummy day.

And we all know what comes of hatred and who benefits from it. You can be sure it is not from God nor does God delight in it. Or wish to see it in the hearts of His creation.

By the way is the Queen considered to be guilty of the sins of her ancestors ? Christianity say she is not, as we only answer for our own sins. I thought it was the same in Islam.
