Salam aleykum

I have questions about Bodybuilding.:SMILY346:

Frist of all i would like to know if its halal.
I read a fatwa about that saying its halal.

My problem is i always think "Can i like (on islamic view and personal view) such a transformed Body?"
I mean you change the body Allah has given to you.

When yes is it okey to make it with the intention to look "good"?

I also read that it is haram to make it with the intention to attract the other gender.
But whats with the own wife?
I thougth its okey to be attractiv to your own wife?
I mean a wife also attracts a man for example with parfume or clothing?

Here the fatwa:

Assalaam walaikum,

Islam is the faith of normalcy. You can build your body but not be obsessed with it. Many work out to maintain good health.

Our Prophet, may the peace and blessings of Allah be upon him, rode did he not. We have hadeeth on this.

Now lets say you go to a Gym and it has only men. Then you might think its mostly safe. A question, what if a Gay is staring at you ? You are a straight man, you ignore keep straight face, do your routines exit the place. Good Enough
Now lets say you go to a Gym thats mixed, then well you know, there is an element of mutual attraction, If one fails to control, it might lead to something else... Beware of that.

Do not get Narcissistic ie excess love/admiration for your body. Most do not, but few do. And the few who do, negatively influence most. Some go ahead and expose it to make some money, which is definitely not good!... As long as you are sure and remain grounded about keeping it healthy and personal, exercising and Maintaining a well built Body is definitely beneficial.

salaams to all

you must first have the intention that u will train & strengthen your body in order to be able to obey Allah ta'ala & serve his deen better.
our bodies are an amaanat from Allah ta'ala & we have to keep it in good condition.
also Rasullullah(SAW) said something to the effect that "a strong believer is better than a weak one"
if you also do it to look attractive to your wife- its OK.

try to pick a gym thats open 24hrs-
ensure you go at a time when there is the least people- that way maybe you can have the music switched off.
or go to a gym that does not have many female members.
generally these are the best type of gyms as the guys there are serious about training & you will find someone to assist you & guide you as to the best way to train.
dont wear any tight or transparent clothing
dont ever be tempted to experiment with any drugs(anabolic steroids) that some guys may be using & selling.
the training sessions should NOT affect the performance of salaah or any other obligatory religious duty.

everyone here should remember that if you go to the gym -you cant suddenly become like those professional pbodybuilders overnight
so its not like youre going to get big & bulky.

apparently, the best results are obtained by eating healthy food broken up into 5-6 small meals a day.
nice to go for a run or use the treadmill for at least 30 mins before training with weights
you must not forget to stretch your muscles before & after training-this prevents cramping & helps to recover from workouts faster.
lots of athletes use weights to strengthen specific areas of their body to assist them in their chosen sport.

the most important excercises are squats, deadlifts, bench press & chins
dont get fooled by those who worry only about developing their chest, shoulders & arms.

the key to developing optimum muscle & burning the most fat is intensity
you should train hard & fast and not take long breaks in between the different excercises.
dont get distracted by looking at or talking to other people.

insha allah, i will also begin training soon
i used to train regularly but due to a few reasons, ive not been going for the past few years.

and Allah ta'ala knows best
jazakallah
