Question about eating beef.

Assalaam aleikum brothers and sisters,

I had a question about when you eat beef. I understand we are not supposed to eat blood. Does this mean we can not eat steak rare, and it should be cooked well done?

I always ask my meat well done for that specific reason !! Just in case.. you know.. ^^
