Question about Hijra as a duty

Assalamu alaykum wa ramatullah wa barakatu everyone!

Insha'Allah everyone will have a prosperous & blessed year, since tomorrow is a new year Islamicly!

Anyway, onto the question...I read a book recently about a brother who began following the Salafi way of Islam, very strict in his deen. He recalled when a Sheikh gave a lecture about how Hijra (migration) to a more Islamicly sound country is mandatory for Muslims if they live in a Kurf country.

But no sources were given for this statement.
I have searched online but all I can really find is the hijra Muhammad (saw) made >__<

I'm not asking for a fatwa from anyone, just some insight from what others say. Since I have not heard this before...Jazakallah khair in advance

I have researched this topic throughly because i am/was being coerced to leave for abroad - jump the sinking ship so to speak. From what i have read, yes Hijra is mandatory if

1) you are unable to practice islam openly
2) you are needed in a muslim country for a duty like jihad etc.
3) your living in a kaafir country will help them against the muslims such as the case with your taxes, military service etc.

otherwise migration is not mandatory but it is still recommended!

point no 3 is obviously the biggest concern nowadays and point 1 is applicable in certain countries.
Having said, that there are some very peaceful kaafir countries too such as New Zealand/Sweden/Finland. So if one cannot migrate to a muslim country (because arabs for example dont allow it), they should move from more evil to less evil places.
