Question about the 99 names

Salaam alakum

I am studying the Isma al Husna and I have a question. I have heard that there are 7 names that are called the 7 leading names, but I do not have an authoritative source for this. Can anyone help me learn more about this?

Brother- All of Allah's names are beautiful and should be honored. Some people have opinions of which are the most beautiful, so they call them the "Leading ones" because the ones you hear of or memorize first are the ones that will stay with you forever.

If I'm wrong- plz correct me.

Dear John99,

To my very limited knowledge there is no "leading names'. However, there are many knowledgeable brothers and sisters who would give you specific information. Please be patient and they will respond.
As a Believer all I do is attempt to enunciate and pronounce the names. It simply benefits my soul.

i honestly always thought the 99 names of Allah came from teh Quran, and they just took out what Allah calles himself , most wise, etc
