Question about traveling

Salam alykum ww,
I am aware that it is sunnah to truncate prayers while traveling but about when you reach your destination,...lets say your going to visit for like a week, during that week its okay to go back to regular length prayers right??? is anybody knowledgeable on this matter.

So as long as a person is travelling, he/she may join his prayers.

Once you reach the destination, you have to go back to regular prayers.
