Assalamualakum Brother's and sister's
I want to ask a question. Are you aloud to swear on Allah like saying " I swear to God". I think the most common term is Wallah. I do not like this because my brother does it on me and he knows if i say "Wallahe" or "Wallah" that i wont disobey it. I know you cant say it for something haram, but what if you want to get information out of someone, you could use this to force him to say what they want to know. Or, make them do things that are not fair.. Cause in some cases like older brother will probably start yelling at you if you dont say Wallah and do everything by force
Example:
Asker-Did you go on Msn?
Teller- No
Asker- Say Wallahe that you didnt go on msn
Teller- Wallahe...
So what is the ruling on this i personally hate this word because its like forcing you to say it. If you try to say " i dont have to answer that" then obviously its the negative answer the asker wants to know.
Jazakallah Khairan
