Question on Hadith

Fear Allah
:salam2:

'No strain, illness, worry, grief, pain, afflicts a Muslim, to the extent that even a thorn that pricks him- except that Allah removes his sins as a result of it.' (Bukhari, Muslim)

Even if the worry, grief, pain is inflicted by himself? as in, there's no other choice but the consequences of the repercussions to happen is inevitable?

to Allah we belong
:wasalam:

a muslim is not allowed to harm himself or anybody. if i cut my finger by mistake, i'll get reward by having patience inshallah but if i cut my wrist intentionally, will i get reward? i dont think so.

Allah says: Do not expose yourselves to ruin. (2:195)

Prophet :saw2: said: "There shall be no inflicting of harm on oneself".
