Question regarding abrogation

I hope this post finds everyone in the best of health and iman inshaAllah.

There are many verses in the Qur'an which have been abrogated.Never was a verse abrogated except that it was replaced with something better. As I understand it was also a learning process for sahaba a transitional phase and also some of them help us in learning as well.

My question is regarding the verse related to 'rajm'(stoning),it is abrogated and has been removed from the Qur'an as there is no verse in Qur'an about rajm but it is clear from hadith that rajm was carried out.So rajm is still applicable even after the verse concerning it was abrogated and removed. Please explain this concept to me,it would be very kind.In the end Allah knows best.

I found this hadith while searching ::

Al-Bukhaari and Muslim narrated in their Saheehs from Ibn ‘Abbaas (may Allaah be pleased with him) that ‘Umar (may Allaah be pleased with him) said: “Allaah sent Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) with the truth and revealed to him the Book, and one of the things that Allaah revealed was the verse of stoning. We have read it and understood it. The Messenger of Allaah (peace and blessings of Allaah be upon him) stoned (adulterers) and we stoned (them) after him, but I fear that there may come a time when some people say: ‘By Allaah, we do not find the verse of stoning in the Book of Allaah.’ So they will go astray by forsaking an obligation that Allaah has revealed.

Problem solved
