Not to offend anyone ,but I really dont understand the purpose of this thread ....
If we talking about contributing more to the site ,to the Ummah in general ,then why would we spend time on this thread discussing nothing.....

waaleikum salam

:wasalam:Sister,

I initially asked the same question.

But knowing our dear Sister Mirajmom, I`m pretty sure she justed wanted us to take time out, sit back, revise why we are here on TTI, and renew our intentions. Our intention on logging on to TTI should be solely for the sake of our Lord, Allah SWT.

there's the problem, how can I say that wasn't rude???:astag::astag:

Hmmm... I did notice that that were several posts turning into heated arguments. They weren't just debates they were arguments. It was really annoying to see but then I just thought that maybe it's coz people are so passionate about their religion that they feel they have to react like that. But maybe it's coz some people on this site get offended easily or something because there was this one christian man asking about Islam and was really interested to hear about it (i forgot what he was called) and he was asking lots of questions and it seemed that some people were getting really frustrated and offended that he was asking these questions. I mean he genuinely wanted to know and he wasnt causing an argument or anything, you could tell that that wasn't his intention.

This is just a suggestion but anyone who feels that they are offended by something someone has written then don't write anything, don't respond to the post. This will avoid arguments or even if u do respond and someone else has said something that is leading to an argument, then don't post a reply so that it doesn't lead to an argument. As long as u have expressed ur opinion that is enough whether others agree with u or not. Even if others call u "rude" or "ignorant" or whatever so what? Arguing back isn't going to make them think differently about u or ur post is it? So it's pointless. As long as different sides of the topic is expressed then that's enough. In my opinion, (unless u think another person misunderstood ur point of a certain topic) if u think a topic is leading to an argument then really hold back from replying even if u feel strongly about something. You might even get reward for your patience. I've held back before and guess what? There was no argument or name calling etc. It's just a suggestion.

Salaam,

The purpose of this post was to get us to start thinking again. Often we need to regroup..reaffirm our commitment..remember why we are members of this forum. It is about something..it is time for us to delve deeper into our faith..I have learned from our detained brothers and oppressed sisters the lesson I wish to learn. They have had the seeds of bitterness plucked from their hearts and have nothing but love for others. I can not speak for others, but, I have seen this love grow. I wish to be one who has no bitterness but Love for humanity and serve Allah subhana talla as a grateful slave; I want us all to count our blessings; we need to stretch our minds and hearts and learn and teach and be a community.
So I lower my gaze in a state of contrition, humble that Allah subhana talla has given me so much, including my brothers and sisters here. Let us write excellent posts.
